There are three things out there that need fixing.
1. banks
2. housing
3. employement

I think all need to be addressed so i will be supporting whatever final version of the bill is rather than doing nothing, while hoping we can stimulate housing and reduce foreclosures. Also Geithner needs to fix banking and i think they are on the right track there. Good Luck USA, we will need it.

I did - you get the distinct impression fixing the banks is more important than simply spending money we don't have on projects is the best way out.

My impression is that we need to do both... but the spending has to be smart. Fixing banks is also 'spending we don't have'. The Iraq war was 'spending we don't have'.

You fix the banks and if the unemployment is 15%, 20% then the banks are worthless.

Both are important.
