"your dad's stories whether true or exaggerations are not the entire story re: korea."

The point is/was that during the war, our GIs weren't wildly popular with many South Koreans. Which is when he did his tour of duty. It didn't help that later we supported a succession of corrupt regimes. SK's leadership has gotten better over the years, but it started from a pretty low point.

Michael, > CJ, with all due respect, your dad's stories whether true or exaggerations are not the entire story re: korea.

I could tell tragic stories of how communist sympathizers in the South led to a whole climate of fear during and after the Korean War. Many Korean-made movies these days bring that to light. One of these movies even made it to America, "Taeguki: The Brotherhood of War," a.k.a. the "Saving Private Ryan" of Korea.

But if what you said is true, and guys like SilentCJ are saying what they're saying just to get a rise out of me, I don't think it's worthwhile for me to cast pearls before swine.
