I will acknowledge that liberal attitudes pervade the ranks of profession educators, and also will acknowledge that I have little respect for professional administrators of secondary school education. Nevertheless, why are conservatives not attracted to these educational jobs - is it that the pay stinks ? Why are there so few conservative (read Republican) school district administrators ? We all know that the school board is the first step to a political career - so where are the Republicans ?

PS - In deference to real conservatives like Barry G. and perhaps Ron Paul these days, I find the term "conservative Republican" to be an oxymoron.
