Did they have coin stores during the Gold Rushes in Cal and Ak? No. Somehow, gold still bought goods. I wonder how. Probably couldn't have a been anything simple like putting a nugget on a scale, could it? Most of my gold sez $50 US. The treasury will give me that, in the worstest case scenario. It really is money.
