Put mom in hospice and she passed one month later. If we had pursued the hospital route, she would have had breathing tubes, feeding tubes all this to keep the shell of the person that used to be there alive. Sometimes i feel guilty, not because we put her in hospice but because at the end it was such a relief to the family that she passed. My dad is alive and well at 90 and finally he has a life again after five long years of being primary caregiver. I am saving up my extra pills in case i get it but i already have forgotten where i hid them.
