Ted, > And why do you think that is?

Because they can absolve themselves of their share of responsibility.

It's hypocritical to talk about eight years of wasteful spending only to advocate eight more years of wasteful spending, thinking "This time it will be different

First of all, the proposed spending is not wasteful.....because the vast majority of the spending is not pork projects like the bridge to nowhere or the spinning wheel museum in Aiken, GA. Its for real projects that are needed like replacing bridges on the verge of collapse or improving mass transit.

Secondly, it pisses me off to no end that you all can't stop whining about this bill when your mouths were sealed shut for nearly 8 years while the real abusive spending was going on. You all are a bunch of partisan hypocrites.

Third, it IS different. Its too bad your brain is so closed to that real possibility.
