Its for real projects that are needed like replacing bridges on the verge of collapse or improving mass transit.

This is an ignorant, ridiculous remark.

The fact is that YOU HAVE NO IDEA how this money is going to be spent because the bill does not contain specifics. Generally, it contains broad allocations with overly broad authority for Obama to do as he sees fit.

What we DO know is that between 3 and 5 billions are allocated to ACORN. How is that a "real" project?

What we DO know is that it contains INSANE demands on the health care system which will devastate quality of care received by every American currently receiving health care benefits, whether self-paid, privately insured, or via entitlements. We do know that. How is that a "real" project?

Both versions of the bill include BILLIONS for unemployment benefits, food stamps, free health care as well as long-term projects that will have no positive effect on the economy for years.

How are these "REAL" projects? They're bullshit at the very best.

There are billions for NIH research -- undoubtedly useful for the most part, but in NO WAY is it stimulative.

Again, you are ignorant of the content of the bill. And frankly, we all are -- because the devil is in the details and the details haven't been disclosed. But your statement it is for "real projects" is just stupid; you don't know WHERE the money is going.

Ted, the bill is indeed wasteful. You can go to multiple sources which point out just how wasteful it is. Or just ask people on this thread who aren't so blinded by the notion that Obama or anyone else can create jobs out of thin air.

By the way, I've always been highly critical of the enormous spending under Bush. For you to claim that I kept my mouth shut just means you thought anyone who didn't join the ABB craze is "the enemy."
