To all Cymer Fans: We are currently in the down cycle of the Semi industry. I will refer you to the IPEC thread where you will get an understanding of what is going on in capital equipment land. Start with my posts of several days ago. Be very cautious about adding new money to any equipment stocks! There is a major new down leg in front of us. I'm not trying to incite a riot on this thread. In fact, I too have a 1/2 position in CYMI. Moores law will not protect CYMI for what is comming in the way of fab push outs!

Found another excimer laser competitor Polytec PI. Their laser is clearly aimed at R&D so is probably not much of a threat to Cymer's core business. Looking at their laser gives you a real appreciatation of how nice the Cymer laser is by comparison.

They have a web page at polytecpi.com but I didn't see mention there of their excimer laser.
