I bot FSCNY, they are a South African gold stock. They carry a
decent dividend, and actually make money, which is more than
most of the stocks can do.

But the problem we have in the economy right now is a deflation,
not an inflation. Revenues are decreasing. Over production,
world-wide is the problem (I think). This can change in a heart-
beat to a stagflation, in which case the golds will do wonderfully.
The golds will do wonderfully if everybody starts deciding that
they need to put 1% of their net wealth in gold or gold stocks,
there just isn't enough of it around. But I am sure that you can
get much better advice on gold stocks in the gold threads in SI.
I really don't follow them much.

I sold my puts on XCI this morning for a healthy profit. I intend on
legging into a later expiration before market close. If this market
tanks by 22% in one day, I want to be there, and I think it could
happen in the next year or so, maybe even next week.

chris, be very careful. gold-mining stocks appear to be more expensive than gold, may have some downside. tommaso knows a stock that just had gold in vault.
