Sorry, but I cannot believe this. You don't have to write into a DB every time someone clicks something, but you can still track it and bulk write it at some point. And you HAVE to be tracking user clicks for authentication, advertising, etc. anyway. You may choose not to track it, but technically you could and it might even improve your ad solutions for ad-based users.
