Hi TH,

Is Ford coming out with a small AWD hybrid soon? My Subaru is off-lease in two years and I was hoping to catch a reasonably priced vehicle of that type. Too snowy up here without one.

I found quite a few photos of it online. I'll look at it this summer. Ford site said it would be released in July I think.

What I do not want to give up is air-cooled seats. It is a lifesaver here in Florida. Not offered on too many autos. MP

btw, remember when we were discussing the solar-assisted A/C on a future Prius (or Camry)? I read recently that it would power ventilation when you car is parked in the sun. That, I think, would make it more useful than I had been thinking, as that greatly reduces the load required when you first get to your car in the summer.

Still... as a society, we are better off putting nearly all solar panels where they can be used all the time to maximize the payback. I have solar on a keychain and a wind-up radio, both of which will receive payback close to 1/10th of 1% of what it could provide in a different setting.
