I agree with your take on relative communications capabilities, but it's folly for the American people to demand only a good talker.

We need to do our own thinking individually, and make choices based on our own principles, not on what a slick talker tells us.

Unfortunately, our educational system seems to be slanted toward group think these days. We are not teaching our kids to think for themselves.

If we don't turn that around, it will be the end of us.

He only looks good because all appearances are so exquisitely stage managed. That only works because the press is complicit in allowing it to go on like this.

Obama is better than any national Republican spokesperson.

If your speaking exclusively about manipulating the emotions of a crowd, oh yeah, he's great at that. If you're talking about what Americans really need to hear, the truth, then he's terrible. One of the reasons he's still in campaign mode is if he talks specifics about the impact of printing or (possibly) borrowing this 800b dollars he knows he's going to lose every non parasite in his audience. If however, he sticks with the campaigning mode all he has to do is tug on peoples emotions, which is his forte, in order to manipulate them into thinking he's doing good.

One things for sure, Obama is no where near Reagan when it comes to telling Americans what they need to hear.....
