I grew up in Beaumont. It was mainly middle class, oil refineries and rice farming. I saw what the Bust did, and rice prices collapsed at about the same time.

I understand them very well.

Self-reliance can only go so far. Which is why humans develop societies. If self-reliance was the best solutions, we'd just be a collection of family units. But, we aren't. That isn't survivable.
