May be just wishful thinking if you're trying to find a pattern. Problem is there isn't much to say about aipn that hasn't been said. Bulls and Bears have made their arguments and only time will prove who's right.

It just seems to me that the type of JV that everyone is so convinced is going to happen needs more time--two or three months at least. There's lots of data to be reviewed and if I'm not mistaken, there will have to be a pattern of reproducible findings--that's just the way science works--before any real oil quantities can be inferred from the data with a degree of confidence. And even then there's quite a bit of luck involved finding a location that will be commercially viable.

I'm sure there are many instances of great looking structures being very stingy with their oil.

Why would a major just hand over huge sums of cash before the science has been confirmed by some exploratory drilling? A major could say I'll give you the dough, but lets see what you really have first. The term "potential" just doesn't cut it.

Of course the JV could be announced right after I post this to the thread.
