No, I think you have lost yours. A person's values shouldn't change. Torturing another human being is wrong. End of story. Just because that value is put to the extreme test doesn't mean you should give up that value. Sounds to me like your Christian values don't hold much weight when the chips are down. Also, the problem with that type of thinking is that you think it is more effective in the long run. For every terrorist you torture, you create 100 more just like him. For every innocent you torture, you create a 1000 more terrorists. Do you want hard evidence of this? Look at Israel. They are in a thousand year war. Both sides have lost all civility in their effort to eradicate the other. If we want to escape that, we need to find a better way.
