<OFF TOPIC--Sam--market timing\selection>

Thanks, Sam. I realize what you are saying about disk drive stocks is mainly a recap of what you've said over a period of months or longer, but it helps to see a simple summary of your ideas in one posting.

As for investing style, everyone has his own. I'm not a short-term trader--don't have the brains, skill, money, mentality, what-have-you to trade on a daily-, weekly-, or monthly- basis and make a profit.
But when some of my stocks drop 15, 20 or 30 % in a month, I sure wish I was smart enough to see it coming, or at least to cut my losses slightly.

But that's wishful thinking.

Sam and all, some good DD info from Friday's IBD...

>>Sales of after-market disk drives are booming. <snip> International Data Corp. <snip> expects after-market drive shipments of 39 million in the US this year. That's up from 25 million last year. By 2001, almost as many after-market drives will be sold as
drives with new PC's, says IDC analyst Crawford Del-Prete.

The Friday issue of IBD is not on the web site any more.

need not be hard' on page 1.
