"The market will correct itself."

The question though, is how long and how bad will it get?

Ok, that is two questions. Just look at the history of the Long Depression to see what is in the cards.

view the govt as the grease that will make the wheel turn. Your markets are dead on arrival. However imperfect, govt is trying to lend a hand. I dont think you get how bad it will get if the bleeding is not stopped.

The market will correct itself. Government can play a role in easing the correction, but government is not the source of the correction any more than it is the source of jobs or prosperity.

Gov't provides 22 million jobs.....that's out of a total of 137 million:

It seems to me US prosperity is very dependent on gov't employment.....but then I am a liberal.
