Ted, > Uh.....its hard to believe you mean it when every other line is let the free markets take care of the problem. This was all in the context of "doing something" and "anything is better than nothing." The free markets can indeed take care of the problem. Only trouble is that it means too much pain for a significant portion of Americans. To many, that's a "disaster" that's worth preventing. So let's prevent that disaster, and not some phantom disaster that's being passed off as a certainty if we do nothing. Do the right things the right way.
