Ya that put alot of people in huge hole when rates went that high.

I was fortunate back then and had my house paid but it was a small house of 638 square feet in Saskatoon so life was pretty easy for me with no payments.

Too this day Don't expand unless you got the money too do so and that still applies for myself today.
Can't afford it you don't buy it
