As you know, my sister in law lives in Orofino. They got a healthy coating of ash from the mountain after it blew.

Speaking of volcanos, I take it nothing ever came of Mt. Redoubt in Alaska or the earthquake swarms in the Yellowstone Basin? It's only a matter of time for either one of them.

We had Mount St. Helen's ash, in significant amounts, here in the Denver area. I recall coming out of a shopping center with my wife and wondering what the heck was all over all the cars. Then we realized it was a coating of white ash from way up North. They talked about it on the local news that day.
