CJ, > How so? I know several people who have grown up poor and decided that they will never be poor again. My wife is one of them. She and SilentZ have plenty in common. Where they diverge, however, is politics. Z has decided that no one else should have to go through what he did, while my wife has decided that individual responsibility should be emphasized above all. Both have valid viewpoints. I of course am biased toward my wife's opinion. I think it's in my blood too; most of my father's side of the family seems to be very business-minded and conservative. But I see where SilentZ is coming from, and though I vehemently disagree with him on many issues (especially that nonsense about me being an "Uncle Tom"), I already know that he has lived anything but a sheltered life.
