know several people who have grown up poor and decided that they will never be poor again. My wife is one of them. She and SilentZ have plenty in common. Where they diverge, however, is politics. Z has decided that no one else should have to go through what he did, while my wife has decided that individual responsibility should be emphasized above all. I grew up very much like Z and I agree with him completely. No kid should live in fear of not having a place to live or worse, living out of a car.......and when your parents die, not knowing where you will end up. America's interpretation of capitalism is a slippery slope that penalizes a lot of good people. And then you have assholes like i-node...and he is the most despicable of assholes......fighting tooth and nail to keep people from "sucking at the teat of gov't" as he so ineloquently puts it because he has a baseball bat up his bum 24/7. You don't know what someone's life is like until you walk in their shoes........truer words were never spoken.
