I hate to see republicans nit picking (any program that cost less than a $billion is a nit) like this. The country needs systemic change. Americans proved last year that they are willing to vote for someone promising change and will be mader'n hell in 4 years that they didn't get it.

Be bold republicans. Stop messing around with the budget for Executive helicopters and start looking to chop whole departments.

So what is the deal with Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal mocking "volcano monitoring" in his response to Obama's speech?

Congress allocating money for volcano monitoring is not being serious about stimulating the economy.

That was Jindal's point.

It is more than likely another one of those special interest paybacks.
