i am always puzzled by the folks who seem to 'get it', but then call for or expect govt intervention to help..ie, why would fleck think that obama or geithner would possibly move in the right direction?

I can't speak for fleck, but I suspect many people, myself included, knew that the status quo had to go. people hoped that obama would be an improvement. as far as I am concerned he is, even though he doesn't have a clue economically. he's still better than bush.

there was no doubt in my mind that we were f*cked, no matter who won. the problems are much bigger than the office. it's going to take time to work out, a long time.
