Can I get a full lipid panel if my internist won't order it and how much would it cost? I stay away from telling people not to follow Doctor's advice but 40mg of Crestor a day with a 98 LDL is outrageous unless you have had a heart event or something else is wrong. I am sure you have told me in the past but I don't recall your BG. Have you had a heart scan that shows you have heart disease? What score? You can order an NMR direct from Private MD for $80. They send you to a local lab to draw blood. You get the results online and the LDL is easy to understand.
