"He must live in a cocoon, he seems totally unaware of what's really happening in the country. Politically and economically." The same thing is happening to much of the Right. They have their web of blogs, talk radio and emails that have constructed a whole alternate reality for them. The problem is that they have gotten so insulated that they haven't noticed the rest of the world split off from them long ago. And the widening of the gap is accelerating. And it showed in the elections. By 2006, it was obvious that they were in a different universe. By 2008, they were almost a cartoon. God only knows what they will look like in 2010 or 2012.
