I don't know about that, but you remind me of McCain's gaffe about the fundamentals of the economy being strong.

Although he spoke the truth from a certain point-of-view, he proved that he had no freakin' clue what he was talking about.

A fact that gets overlooked. Another similar factor was the Gini coefficient was also high. It would be interesting to plot the Gini vs. debt load. I suspect they are strongly correlated.
