I hadn't thought too much about hydrocarbon hoarding as the smart thing to do, but maybe you are right. After all, if peak oil is coming, shouldn't we be hoarding our oil? And if so, doesn't that mean that we should be going all out to diversify our energy sources and wean ourselves off of oil?

BTW, do you have any good links on sun cycle 25? I want to read more about that.

I foresee (Oh, Swami...) massive crop failures by the early 20s due to a coming Dalton Minimum and near Little Ice Age conditions. Solar cycle 25 is almost universally expected to be a humdinger, very few sun spots.

yes, global cooling is underway. As for hoarding hydrocarbons, most folks will be burning whatever they can to keep from freezing to death. Too bad the mental patients are now in charge of the asylum.

Regarding Peak Oil, global cooling should help mitigate the problem as the world is depopulated.

It shouldn't take long for the economic impact of Obama's policy directions to hit main street. Protests, riots and possibly impeachment are likely as a protracted economic crisis deepens.
