The heightened security isn't going to prevent anything, really. Like I said, terrorists always go after soft targets. Next time, it might be trains and train stations. Or another couple of DC snipers.

That's why I think it really is the fear of retaliation. Or at least fear of getting America involved even more in the Middle East, which is kind of the opposite of what they want.

Isolating America from her allies makes more sense. Already Americans are forgetting about 9/11. Why "remind" them by attacking America again?
