A few years ago ebay announced that they were going to cease to allow Lawn Darts to be sold through their site (they were already taken off the market 20 years earlier). I am pretty sure that I got the last three sets of lawn darts. Figured..well, I might want them someday and if I don't buy them now, I may never have the chance. How long until we have the same thing with guns?

do not discuss it I would disagree with this though. It should be discussed with even very young children on the chance that they ever do come upon a gun. Knowing that it must not be touched and to get an adult is more important then hoping ignorance will keep them safe. The NRA has a very good young peoples program, Eddie Eagle or something like that that I would investigate. I grew up in a house full of guns as did my children. My kids were shooting at the range when they were probably 5/6 years old and knew from the time they could move that they don't ever touch a gun unless an adult is there. I would also point out though that guns and ammo were never stored together and they knew where the guns in the cabinet were but did not know where the ammo was. I would also point out that guns are not at all uncommon and most households have them so they are known by all the friends also. They even teach home gun safety in the grade school starting early.
