I think you're correct about that. The problem is that they have not come clean with their constituency and the in-their-pocket media is still AWOL.

DMa, Interesting comment. What if their stated logic is simply flawed. They are not fools because they disagree. They are fools when they state positions that are simply wrong. I believe the left simply believes wealth is something to be harvested and that their policies need only be structured to do the harvesting. They believe the mistake is in not harvesting. They have no fear that bad policy will destroy wealth and thereby the harvest as well. Such belief is the belief of fools. Bob

Sorry to keep beating on this drum but they are only fools if you think their goals for the country are the same as yours. I believe they are deliberately beggaring us for ideological reasons. We need to face that fact if we are to defeat them. They are not the same but that doesn't mean they are intentionally destructive - the key word being "intentionally." You really have to take on board just how economically illiterate you have to be to be a statist liberal after we've had 70 years of data on the results of the policy. They want a more equal distribution of wealth and opportunity. They don't understand that their efforts to get this goal will destroy both wealth and opportunity on a wide scale.
