Sure they are. They're doing the same thing they did in '96 with Dole -- they tried to pair him with Gingrich since they had been successful in demonizing Gingrich. Guilt by Association, what the Ds are best at. Clinton didn't run against Dole at all; he ran a proxy election against Newt Gingrich because so many people hated Gingrich for no reason, whatsoever.

Same thing here. They think Rush is universally hated so they want to make him the head of the party. It won't work.

Nobody, NOBODY, has the kind of platform Rush has. And NOBODY, not even Obama, can match Limbaugh's rhetoric. It isn't even a close call.

They had better be careful what they ask for because they may just get it. If they make Limbaugh the head of the party, they are going to be wanting to put that toothpaste back in the tube.

Rush is looking out for Rush. His first order of business is accumulating cash. But when his objective coincides with that of the Party, he is deadly.

This is going to be the gift that keeps on giving, I think.

CJ, the mistake started when this idiot Greenberg did a poll that concluded that Limbaugh was less popular than Jeremiah Wright, an obviously bogus conclusion. Greenberg took it to Carville who ran it by the morning conference call between the liberal media and the Chief of Staff. They jumped to the conclusion that this strategy would work on the basis of that poll.

The problem is the poll overlooks the fact that Limbaugh is still the biggest personality in all of politics and he DOES have a lot of power if he chooses to use it for something other than padding his billion dollar bank account.

If they think he isn't working over time to figure out how to best make them look foolish they're nuts.
