Is NASDAQ short interest only reported once a month, at mid-month?

I suspect that the majority of the shorting occured starting Oct. 15. I think there is probably significant covering now, and by Nov. 15, it will probably be back to the same levels that we saw for the last few months. If we can only get a snapshot of short interest once a month, we'll never know what the scope of it was.

Sankar: I saw the news item on 10/24 about NASDAQ short interest in wsj. I have subscription to interactive wsj, but I could not get SI for a particular security. Please help me to get the SI for ctys or any other any other stock from wsj which seems to be faster than the URL I wrote.
