Fine but thats really not that significant in the big scheme of things. It doesn't herald an imminent new oil-free, natural gas free, petro-chemical free world.

If they manage to make it for that price, that will truly be great. They'll be able to spend the tax credit for the replacement battery pack 5-6 years down the road.

But didn't catch if it has a fossil fuel engine to recharge battery. If not, I don't think it's going to be a big seller. Consumers want PHEV's that don't solely rely upon power.

But it might be sold for some corporate and government fleet operations, which are normally local transport only, if it's produced here.
