Good for you. It appears to me that many who live in America can afford it LESS and LESS... Seems to me there has been more destruction due to 'capitalism run amok' lately than 'socialism'...

<<I hate seeing my country destroyed by socialism, that's all.>>

You do pay your taxes, no? No choice?

You pay into the collective so

that when you roll out of your driveway onto the pavedstreet

with possibly curbs and sidewalks

you roll over the water lines and sewer pipes pass by the

garbage trucks pass over the bridges and by the

libraries, schools, and airports, water and sewage treatment plants etc. and when you do...

YOU ARE A SOCIALIST because the state owns this infrastructure

and you pay for it with your share of taxes. No choice.

You said..

<< I wouldn't take anything from the government if they forced me to. I want as little government involvement in my life as possible>>

Do you want some of your taxes back when you claim a deduction for your mortgage and small business deductions?

I would bet you do.

Remember, when that socialist, commie government of yours <g> sends you that social security cheque when old and grey ...send it back to them with a note saying...i stand on my own two feet and don't need any help from the government!!Im a freemarketeer!!

My bet is you would be cashing the cheque from that socialist regime, like all the rest.

In Canada, that infrastructure, listed above, includes healthcare.Simple eh?And yes, far from perfect.

With your government now owning the banking and mortgage system, and soon ,your auto industry, that mighty freemarketeer loud mouth Kudlow is looking rather foolish of late.
