Janice! You are going to share the ending to this mesmerizing tale soon I hope! I'm on tenterhooks to know if you actually failed. I read the date wrong for an English exam my sophomore year and stayed up all night playing bridge thinking that the exam was the next week. At 3 a.m. someone asked me if I was really that confident. I lost it. I had no hubris-like you had done little preparation and knew I knew nothing-walked into the exam-sure enough-didn't know one question on it--hyperventilated and had to be taken to the clinic and tranquilized. Bought me a whole week's clemency though.
