He linked to your post. How can you get more accuracy than that?

I don't find anything Republicans are doing these days as "desperate". They know what party is running the government. However, I do find it amusing that the Democrats are talking more about Republicans than what they are doing to address the massive problems this country has. Smokescreen comes to mind.

and their rather desperate attempt to find some new leadership.

I'd take the kid as a new GOP leader, he, at the very least, would stand by his principles... Not to mention that there are plenty of RINOs in the GOP that should heed the kids call....

While we're speaking of leadership let's look at the Dems. They've got leaders coming out their arses and not one of them has a useful thought in their brains.....

Excuse me, I have to take a Pelosi......<g>

You’re right about that, Rambi…The Right does need some younger faces, and even if Jonathan is a bit too young, he speaks truth to some of us. (out of the mouths of babes…)

The Left has some younger faces, but so far, we aren’t seeing any too much wisdom coming forth from them nor from their ideas.

From about last April 2008, we’ve seen the start of the oil debacle, and the price of gas soar to where people didn’t drive….so the entire tourism business and all related side business is in disarray. Today, we see the gas price down, and climbing back up. What we DON’T see is the grocery prices, nor any of the items made with or shipped by oil based energy get any cheaper than they were when gas was over $/gal.

When we start looking at the mortgage loan mess, we see that it started in 1977 with the CRA signature…. We’ve seen the 1999 NYT article showing the causes of the mess we are in. (you can find it under the Search feature here on PfP…I didn’t see that the Center had it….) We have seen the YouTube compilation of actual faces and voices telling Barney Frank and crew to investigate more fully the FM FM disaster-to-come, and he, and they, did not a thing (we have noted the link here on PfP as well.)

And we have ALL seen our pensions (if we had one, we ourselves don’t….in small business for ourselves, you don’t have such things) and stock investments and 401k’s cut in half….

It’s very difficult to see all of that, and still keep a polite tongue and a stiff upper lip, and all of that….Some, if not all, of the pols currently in residence in DC, have never worked at a private large and small company in their lives – Government work is what they know. Most of us here have worked in various types of business, and some of us have owned them. We know how very difficult it is to meet a payroll, especially in the beginning years. We know how hard it is to raise a family, and provide for them. We all know how hard it is to try to save at least 10% of your salary (after taxes and expenses) for your retirement. To see it destroyed by nincompoops, ner’do’wells, and scam artists is just more than most of us can stand.

I believe you agree with much of what I just said too….

AND on top of all that, it’s snowing here again in Seattle. On March 9, 2009. Today, we have had snow overnight, melted, then hail, thunder and lightening….then melting. Now more snow…if it weren’t so warm (maybe around 32-35 degrees) we’d think maybe a blizzard was on the way.

Gads, one should start laughing every time we hear about how Global Warming is going to doom us. I don’ think it will, but Global Cooling and the idiots in DC and the GW lobby might.

Come on over to PfP’s more often. We don’t bite here. I’ll make a cuppa cocoa for you….and bring a blanket for you if you want it…<ggg>

It's the other way around. The young man wrote the book and has adopted the party as his own because he believes in it.

The "party" welcomes all comers regardless of age.
