We pay twice as much as most developed countries and get mediocre care. We have socialism for the providers. You go where the ambulance takes you, not to the hospital advertising a $99,995 all inclusive cardiac arrest package. So, your myocardial infarction costs $300,000 -- not $99,995. And, would ask the ambulance to drive ten extra miles to the hospital offering the special? So we pay too much, the medical industrial complex makes too much, and receive too little.
