Another plus for home-cooked meals:

They tend to be smaller in portion size and cost one third the price.

If the hundreds of thousands of people living in houses with commercial-grade but unused kitchens would learn to work their ovens, we'd be a healthier, leaner country.

Whoever does the cooking, eating out is a break.

While I have heard of the trends you mentioned, women still do the majority of cooking - not in every family, but in aggregate.

My job is to know how to use the TV remote control. ;-)

Excuse me, I have to go tell some kids to get off my lawn.
