i'm always experimenting with herbs and seasonings....wasn't sure about the dash of nutmeg, but i could taste it ever so slightly and thought it added an interesting twist as well...looking at the ingredient list of old bay, it seemed like a natural to me....

what i did was make a progresso like 'bread crumb' mixture using parsley, the old bay, fresh ground pepper with the coarse oat bran.......i've done the same using italian spice mix as well

yikes...i can't get over 800 cal in an omelet though, low carb or not!

Like cake mix, much of my meatloaf traditionally found its way to my tummy before finding its way to the oven so I said goodby to the eggs.

my former MIL used to eat RAW hamburger when she was preparing her meatloaf (or even just packing it for the freezer)....i couldn't get over that the first time i saw it and still can't imagine eating it(ALWAYS concerned about undercooked ground meats)....you're the first person i've ever heard of since who eats raw hamburger meat....you must have a cast iron stomach <gg>
