No it doesn't.....but let's add in the employees of Caterpillar and Joy mining and bucyrus and Terex etc.....

What they are talking about isn't only killing the companies in an industry, it is killing all of the supporting companies and all of the businesses in the mining towns.

Guaranteed that the miners at the Raven Mine in eastern Kentucky aren't going to be getting a job at some windfarm in Texas or California. The miners at Blacksville #2 on the border of Pennsylvania/WVa aren't going to get jobs in Las Vegas at some solar panel manufacturer. And the miners at the Black Thunder Mine outside of Gillette Wyoming aren't going to get a job at a biomass plant in indiana.

there's a million jobs lost in what they are proposing. And even if windfarms and solar plants were viable alternate energy sources, there just aren't enough consistently predictable windy places for wind to offset the energy coal provides and solar is only predictable in the desert during the summer.....and is guaranteed to have 50% average downtime in any given year (solar is useless at night).

Obama and many democrats have taken direct aim at the workers who are the foundation of this country. The United States is in a huge part, great, because of its natural resources. You can't make shit if you don't have any natural resources. This will gut the US economy in so many ways.

What's next? No more lumber/timber industry?

And the unions support these people...amazing.
