Apparently the term 'Enemy Combatant' is to be stricken from use in the current administration. What do you suppose will take its place?

Socialism.

This is clearly part of a strategy to move the war from a "war" status to a "crime" status. Bin Laden didn't declare "holy war" on us; he declared a crime spree.

Of course the net effect of this is that when we capture enemy we can't treat them like POWs but instead must give them an American lawyer, due process, etc. Which is lunacy.

The biggest single mistake of the Clinton president (well, otther than a badly executed BJ, I guess) was in not realizing we were in a war with the result being? 9/11.

9/11 would never have happened if Clinton had understood the '98 fatwa was a declaration of war and that AQ must be treated, not like criminals, but like enemy fighters.

There has been a ton of blame tossed around for 9/11, but this failure is the one that is most critical. Had Clinton had this awareness, it is almost certain the dots would have been connected and the plan would have been stopped. There were other problems, like the failure to communicate between CIA and FBI, but nothing on the level with treating these people like criminals.

I submit that anyone who would support this action on Obama's part doesn't understand what happened leading up to 9/11.
