Hi Chip. I just employed a 200 day chart of CREAF using 50, 100, and 200 day moving averages. The stock has not violated the 200 day=bullish. 200 day avg. looks to be around 17.75 where your target I believe is located. The 100 day moving average is around 20.75 and the last dip bounced right off that one like a ricochet. That is also bullish for the stock and an indicator that it is not breaking down technically. However, the 50 day moving average had been slightly violated over the past 200 trading days, but by no more than .5-.75. of a point. So I have come to the conclusion by employing a 200 day chart with 50/100/200 day moving averages that CREAF is clearly in an uptrend that will be hard to break even if the market cracks by 10% over the coming weeks. I have also come to the conclusion that the downside risk during this current quarter would probably be closer to the 50 day moving avg which appears to be around 22.5 - 23.25 (it keeps increasing which is bullish). To reach your target of $18 during this quarter may be difficult for this stock to achieve unless there is some nasty company specific news that would bring legal ramifications upon certain management (?), or if the fundamentals and accounting methods of the company come into some sort of trouble (this is Xmas and a strong season for the industry and the company who happens to be on a roll right now), or if a series of downgrades occur (I have only seen a strong upgrade/reiteration cycle from analysts far and wide so far), or a hot/cold war (trade vs. blood), or an act of God. In my opinion only, there need are too many things that you need to go wrong in the world, in the tech industry, at CREAF, etc. for you to reach your target. I see the stock taking out it's old high, you possibly being forced to cover when this kicks out your $28.5 stop, and the stock reaching a intra-quarter high of approx. $32. It will be interesting to see how things unravel. Can you please back up your analysis using TA and a chart of any duration to show me the way? Cheers!
