Hmmm... Yes....

Carol,

Hmmmmm.... another Canajun... Well, it is probably a little easier and more natural to be attuned to nature when you live in the country as we do...

And you are right... winter has its own strange appeal. Sounds are magnified on a cold winter night... branches breaking under the weight of snow sound like a gunshot on a cold night. And then, on nights when the Northern Lights are dancing in the skies, I always find that you can hear an odd sound....sort of like a shrill tinkling... I remember being at a poetry reading given by an Inuit man and listening to his description of the sound...and thinking,...yes...that's it.... What do you think, Walt??... do they seem to make a sound where you are... or is it an illusion???
We have a type of brush wolf here too...and they run along a game trail that crosses our farm... yipping and howling on clear cold nights... it will be nice to hear them again soon...

Hmmmm... almost makes me not mind the thought of winter returning...

Taurus, I will reply to you here, because I don't want anyone complaining on the other thread. Now, I'm not sure if Astrology could be called a spiritual practice, but to some it surely is a religion.

Its a curiousity to me and I enjoy reading my horoscope sometimes. For example, the other day it said, "Don't lose your cool with others today" and that little phrase stayed in my mind all day and when things got a little tense, I kept my cool. Now, not saying I would not have kept my cool anyway, but who knows...Maybe it acted as a mental brake in my subconscious.

My sign is Aries. The Aries and Taurus are both very dominant and aggressive personalities, not usually compatible signs, because both want dominance and control. Doesn't always apply, but the couple I have known fit the profile. What do you think??

Later
Carol

Untill you realize late at night that the sound youre hearing is one mean and big mother of a bear trying to loot and pillage your cabin.
That brings you back real quick to the reality that nature can be far from beniegn:)
