I was trying to say something to oppose the (in my opinion) totally ignorant and false assertion that republicans have had no role in the current economic mess. I guess I just missed the sarcasm.

You're right though. The powers that be use both parties to work their agendas. It's just the golden rule by proxy. The golden rule, that is, that says he who has the gold makes the rules.
