Greenspan was "shocked" to discover that bank management chose to throw the interests of bank shareholders down the drain so they could receive larger bonuses.

But why was he shocked? Greenspan himself as Fed Chairman threw America's best interests down the drain in order to gain mere short-term adulation. That's pathetic.

Mq, your defense of Greenspan gets lamer every day. Of course people are mindless zombies! They always have been and always will be. That's why the financial leaders, including the Fed chief, need to do a better job!!!
