Its hard to clean up the mess Bush made in 8 years in just a few days. The debt binge went on from 1990 but was fulled under Bush to unsustainable and dangerous levels.

This is laughable. You do realize that Obama's budget AS PROPOSED would increase our debt far more than Bush did, and even the CBO figures for the budget are far too rosy to be reasonable. Right? You know that?

Doing nothing as Bush has done is no option if you hit the wall.

Actually, most who are not merely enamored of Obama believe that Bush's TARP I is what kept the banks from going under. I opposed TARP altogether, but in retrospect, it may be what saved us.

I do know that the massive spending and move to socialism will not save us. We wouldn't be in the economic mess we're in had not the Dems been talking the economy down for a year.

The job less rate will explode until 2010 in the US and around the world. From the job less perspective we are just at the start. Jobs cuts come later than revenue is lost.

You don't know this and I don't, either. Hell, even people who should be qualified to address it don't know where the economy is heading. It is disingenuous to make a statement such as yours because you simply don't know what's going to happen. What is certain is that none of the Obama policy positions are affecting the economy one way or another.

The economy is more a product of economic cycles and general consumer attitudes than it is anything else. When you have the Democrats telling us it is the worst economy in 30 years it isn't surprising when the economy heads south.

Many countries are on the verge of failing

The US, chief among them. Why? Because we already have over $50 Trillion in debt from big-spending liberal programs of the New Deal and Great Society eras. Now, we have Obama adding another 10 Trillion or more in less than a decade.

It takes a very long time for the nation's insolvency to come to a head. But it is inevitable now that this president has adopted a move to socialism and we have no system of checks and balances to reign him in.

The United States as we knew it is on life support and the Obama social programs will kill it for good.
