No child educated would have been more like it. Bush signed on to Teddy Kennedy's program, but starved it as a priority. I'm not giving Obama credit for doing anything, just for realizing that we need education to compete. Also, he has ended Bush's war on science. Hah, there's nothing in the Treasury to loot. I agree with you on his kowtowing to the financial behemoths. It makes me sick. He should have nationalized the SOBs and put GS 12s in charge of their operations. They could not do a worse job than the "experts" have done. Militarily, he has shifted the emphasis to the two Stans and away from Iraq, where we never should have been.
