Hey Mark, I think it's been over a year since I have seen your name around here. I pop in every month or so. Here are my answers to your questions:

I don't think the masses buying $499.00 pc's are going to be doing much about power protection. Most of these boxes aren't even going to have hard drives so if they crash they will just boot up again when the power comes back on. I am speaking about middle class America here.

Deregulation in power could be an interesting long term effect to watch. I see alot of service problem potentials with power which will make it even more mandatory for companies to consider protection, but I still don't think that is a major growth potential for APCC.

There are 2 major areas that I would watch for APCC. One is the overseas markets which I explained earlier looks a little bit shaky for the short term. The other area is their larger box the Symetra. The is the main reason I am going to APC headquarters this week. If this box is successful they will start to capture markets that will bring in large revenue and profit dollars. This will take awhile to get off the ground but I would look for results in about a year.

If the market tanks over the next 6 months and APCC goes down with it I will accumulate under $15 bucks a share and keep buying if it goes down further.

For you long term holders out there relax, I know my business (computers) and APCC will do fine in time so just ride it out. For short term traders like myself I smell an opportunity brewing around the corner (next 3 to 6 months.)

For the record, I think that we will see one of the worst January's in the market in quite sometime. I know alot of people who will be unloading at the beginning of the year to take advantage of 20% capital gains and to offset payments until April of 1999.

Take care,

Phillip
