Yes the old surface from behind them and get the arm looped around their neck from behind before they know what is happening. We were drinking and jumping off bridges many years ago, a rather unsafe day to say the least. Well Shelly jumped off in the middle of the channel and realized two things after hitting the water, she was not a strong swimmer and the shore is much further away when your in the water then it appeared to be standing on the bridge 6o feet above. She freaked and forgot how to swim for all intents. Dave her fiance came back from swimming to shore to assist and she climbed on him and started drowning him. I moved down 30' or so and jumped off the bridge, a bridge I might add I had no intention of jumping off due to it's height and hit the water and swam up from behind her and snagged her off the top of Dave who came up sputtering and about drowning himself. I got her on her back moving away from him when I lost her and she climbed on me and had me under. I grabbed the front of her swimsuit and yanked her ass under water and just like they said would happen in class she instantly disengaged and tried to claw her way to the surface again. I got her from behind again and struck out for shore and fortunately after 10 seconds or so she started to calm and stopped fighting me. I have to say though it was a very wild 30 seconds or whatever that seemed like 30 minutes.
